Artist Statement
I create art inspired by our common humanity. Through drawing and painting, I reflect the world both as it is and how I envision it could be. When a viewer looks at my art, I hope that they see the beauty in themselves reflected back.
Bio
Tracy Nzambi is an artist based in upstate NY. Tracy studied art in Aix-en-Provence, France at École Marchutz. The vibrant palettes of the impressionist and post impressionist masters have influenced Tracy's love for juicy color and compositions. Tracy loves to work with a variety of subjects from figurative works to landscapes and still lifes. Primarily working in oil paints, soft pastels, and charcoal, the play of light is often a common them in Tracy's works. Art brings joy and beauty as well as tells the stories of our common humanity.
Tracy is also a children's social worker and a busy mother of 3. She is very involved and connected to her local community.
Recent Accomplishments
"Harmony," a soft pastel piece, was accepted to the 10th Annual Adirondack National Pastel Exhibition on July 17-August 10th, 2024
LARAC/NY State Council of the Arts Grant Recipient 2024.
